ADAM Skornicki returns to the Wolverhampton line-up for Monday''s clash with Peterborough - who themselves have two former stars of Monmore Green back in town.
The much-hyped first clash between the clubs last month, featuring the ex-Wolves heroes Peter Karlsson and Sam Ermolenko competing for the oppostition, turned into a runaway win for Wolves as the Panthers encountered all kinds of difficulties. That marked the start of a poor run for the Alwalton club, but they took encouragement from a battling display at Coventry on Friday where they were just two points down with three heats to go. Skornicki, a title winner with Wolves in 2002, lost his team place at the end of last season, but was always the obvious candidate to replace the injured David Howe. The Pole said: ''It''s always nice to be back at Wolves. I was a little unlucky with my bikes in last week''s meeting but it was good to be there. ''I''ve had lots of good years here and hopefully there will be a few more as I love riding for Wolverhampton.'' Panthers boss Trevor Swales said: ''Sam and PK certainly have a point to prove so I''m reasonably confident, but I''m not making any predictions.'' WOLVERHAMPTON: Mikael Max, Ronnie Correy, Adam Skornicki, Steve Johnston, Fredrik Lindgren, Magnus Karlsson, Krzysztof Pecyna. PETERBOROUGH: Peter Karlsson, Lukas Dryml, Ales Dryml, r/r for Joonas Kylmakorpi, Sam Ermolenko, Henning Bager, Ritchie Hawkins.
