HARLEY-DAVIDSON UNVEILS SOME BIG PLANS FOR CHESTER
17 June 2005 - Harley-Davidson UK
Harley-Davidson, the iconic motorcycle manufacturer, has just unveiled exciting plans to roll into Chester over the next ten months.
The company, which is famous for such legendary machines as the Fat Boy, Electra Glide and Sportster is opening a special Visitor Centre at Stanney Mill Lane, opposite the Cheshire Oaks retail centre, this July. But the Visitor Centre, which will be offering the full line-up of Harley-Davidson and Buell motorcycles as well as fashionable MotorClothes and accessories, is just the start of the development programme. A state-of-the-art dealership, ‘Chester Harley-Davidson’, will be up and running at the same location by May 2006. The new facility will offer motorcycling enthusiasts some of the best servicing facilities in the country, a special Harley-Davidson café and even more space for visitors to admire the stylish Milwaukee machines. “The opportunity to build a completely new dealership to our exact specifications is great news because it will allow us to really make the Harley-Davidson experience come to life,” says Kirk Herbert, dealer principal of Chester Harley-Davidson. “Everyone is welcome to come and join us at the Visitor Centre this summer, and this ‘mini-dealership’ will be able to look after all your requirements. But it is really just the start for us and we’re genuinely counting down the days until we can open the doors of the main site,” added Kirk. Both the Visitor Centre and upcoming main dealership will be managed by Kirk and his team of experienced, factory-trained technicians and sales professionals. Paul Brookes, managing director of Chester Harley-Davidson stated: “While it is very important to have the sort of great facilities in Chester you’d expect from a brand like Harley-Davidson, it is also essential to have the right people, and Kirk has put together a great team. Everyone here is passionate about Harley-Davidson and Buell motorcycles and will be bringing a great deal of experience and knowledge to the new operation.” The Chester Harley-Davidson Visitor Centre will be open on July 4. For further information please contact Kirk Herbert on 0151 357 2304. Harley-Davidson offers a full range of products and services, from learning to ride with its authorised training academy, Rider’s Edge, to competitive insurance and finance on its range of motorcycles, to experiencing the joy of motorcycling on the best roads in Europe with the official Harley Owners Group (H.O.G.) touring rides and events.
