TALMACSI SETS EARLY PACE
12 June 2005 - DORNA COMMUNICATIONS

Red Bull KTM’s Gabor Talmacsi, winner of last weekend’s race at Mugello, set the fastest time in the first 125cc free practice session of the Catalonian Grand Prix

The Hungarian lapped in 1’52.461, snatching the first position from Mattia Pasini in the last minute of the session.

Behind Pasini, Championship leader Thomas Lüthi was third fastest ahead of Tomoyoshi Koyama and Mika Kallio, who crashed out of the lead in last Sunday’s race.

Fabrizio Lai was sixth fastest ahead of Julian Simon and Sergio Gadea. Lukas Pesek crashed after setting the ninth fastest time. Angel Rodriguez and Federico Sandi also crashed during the session.

Hector Faubel was back on the track following his crash-out with Mika Kallio last weekend at Mugello and posted the tenth fastest time. However, the Spaniard only did short runs as he was still feeling dizzy from the concussion he sustained in the crash.
