DATATOOL PORTABLE PYTHON LOCK & CHAIN
10 June 2005 - Datatool (UK) Ltd

Following the success of their colossal Python lock and chain, Datatool, the UK’s leading manufacturer of motorcycle security, has developed a lighter & more compact version, which is easier to transport on a motorcycle.

The Portable Python Lock & Chain has a 1.2M long (that’s 4 feet) chain, with case and core hardened 9.5mm links. Although half the weight of the original Python, (at approximately 2.75 KG), this chain can withstand a 5 minute attack test time and is Thatcham listed, so it will qualify for insurance discounts. The chain has a zinc plated finish to prevent corrosion and a flexible nylon-weave outer sleeve, with plasticoat cuffs, to protect the motorcycle wheels and paintwork.

Securing the chain is a simple-to-operate padlock, which has a case hardened alloy steel body and 12mm diameter shielded shackle. The shackle is hinged and has a snap-shut mechanism, so it can be operated with one hand.

The key cannot be removed until the lock is snapped shut, so making it impossible to secure your bike at a destination and then discover you left your keys at home!

It is supplied with three flat keys, which operate an anti pick/drill key-way.

The Portable Python lock & chain weighs under 3KG and retails for £90.00 inc. VAT.
