27 May 2005 - British Speedway Promoters Association
IPSWICH skipper Chris Louis hopes to make his comeback from injury in next Thursday''s Jeremy Doncaster Farewell meeting at Foxhall.
Louis has been out of action for over a month with a knee injury, but had some practice laps on his home track this week. He said: ''I will continue with my physio programme for the next week and it is just time for the healing process to finish.'' EXETER have signed Cornish youngster Ben Barker, who has been starring this season for the Oxford Silver Machine Academy. Barker replaces Nick Simmons, who has been released from the Falcons line-up after a disappointing start to the season. Exeter boss Graeme Gordon said: ''Ben is keen to ride for the Falcons, he is going in at the deep end but we are confident he will do a job for us.''
