PEUGEOT TARGET 125CC MARKET WITH JETFORCE SCOOTERS
31 May 2005 - Peugeot

Peugeot are targeting the booming 125cc market by repositioning the prices of their high performance range of Jetforce scooters, to replicate their recent success in the 50cc sector.

The French brand has significantly increased its market share, following the introduction of the budget–priced Ludix range, which has added to sales of the established Speedfight sports scooter.

With its sleek lines and aggressive look, the Jet Force offers learner riders an adrenalin charged alternative to 125cc motorcycles, while its motorcycle derived technology, precise handling & superb brakes will make the daily commute exciting and rewarding for more mature riders. There are three models in the Jetforce range.

The Jetforce 125 EFI is equipped with a modern 4-stroke electronic fuel injection engine, which offers better performance and is more economical than the previous generation of carburetted engines. The steel perimetric frame, as used on high performance motorcycles, ensures a very stiff chassis whilst its single central shock absorber concentrates mass and forces along the vehicle’s central axis, providing the Jet Force with exceptional handling. You can buy a Jetforce 125 EFI for just £2,399 on the road (previously £2,699).

For those who regard stopping power as being of equal importance to horsepower, Peugeot offer an ABS version of the Jetforce, fitted with active/passive assisted braking, which dramatically improves stopping distances in all weathers. In spite of the widely recognised safety benefits of ABS, only a few large capacity scooters are fitted with ABS. It will now sell for £2,599, (previous RRP £2,899).

The latest addition to the Jetforce range is the eagerly awaited Compressor, which unique as it is fitted with a SUPERCHARGER and INTERCOOLER that provide a spectacular increase in power and torque. This supercharged scooter is due to go on sale in UK showrooms in June and following rave reviews from the press launch, the first batch is already sold out. The good news for customers is that the price will now be £3,499, not £3,749 as previously quoted.

“Following our success in the UK 50cc sector, the factory have got right behind us, which has enabled us to offer the Jetforce range to UK customers at such attractive prices,” explains Richard Davies, Sales Director for the UK importers. “It’s our intention to win over the hearts and pockets of British customers looking for an exciting and eye-catching 125cc scooter in 2005”
