IT’S LADIES DAY AT THE BENNETTS BSB RACES
19 May 2005 - Bennetts British Superbike

To celebrate the launch of the Bennetts ‘Go For It Girls!’ campaign, Bennetts, the UK’s number one for bike insurance, will be introducing Ladies Day at the Croft round of Bennetts British Superbike Championship 2005.

The event, which will take place on Sunday 5 June 2005, will be attended by British Eurosport’s World Superbikes presenter and BBC Radio 1 DJ, Mary Anne Hobbs, who is backing the Bennetts ‘Go For It Girls’ campaign.

Ladies Day at Croft was developed by Bennetts to bring women closer to the action during the British Superbike Championship but to also encourage more women to get involved in motorcycling.

The day will offer a series of activities geared up for girls. With the support of Hein Gericke, the UK’s leading retailer of motorcycling clothing and accessories, there will be a fashion show that will see real women bikers modelling the newest range of gear.

In addition, a dedicated information service just for girls will be available, providing advice and tips from the Bennetts and Hein Gericke teams. Free prize draw competitions to win girly gear plus tickets to the final BSB round will run throughout the day.

Bennetts offers females a discount of up to 10% on their motorcycle insurance premiums. Call 0800 975 9161 for more details, alternatively you can log on to www.bennetts.co.uk for a quote.

Mary Anne Hobbs said: “I am delighted to be able to support the Bennetts BSB Ladies Day at Croft. I think it’s a fantastic idea and a great way of getting more girls on bikes. “

“As a city girl myself, riding is a great way of getting around town; it beats public transport hands down, there''s no congestion charge to contend with and you can cut your journey time in half!”

“Ladies Day couldn’t come at a better time as the days get longer, lighter and warmer, it''s the perfect season for girls to start learning to ride.”

Michael Walshaw of Hein Gericke also comments: “We’re delighted to be involved in the Bennetts BSB Ladies Day. It presents a great opportunity for Hein Gericke to join forces with another great British motorcycling institution. We’re really keen to endorse the Bennetts ‘Go For It Girls!’ campaign to get more women on two wheels.”

“Ladies Day at Croft will offer something for women who already ride as well as girls who are looking to get into biking. We’ll have a range of the latest ladies’ clothing for racegoers to check out and the Bennetts and Hein Gericke girls will be on hand to dispense handy tips and advice. Plus, every woman visiting the stand will be in with the chance of winning Hein Gericke vouchers and gear.”
