TICKETS ON SALE TO AIDE CCA
18 May 2005 - Children's Craniofacial Association

August 6, 2005 motorcycle enthusiasts will coming together to raise money for children with head and facial abnormalities.

Award winning bike designer, manufacturer and builder Andy McCaslin, owner of Porky’s Chopper Company in New Carlisle, Ohio has joined forces with Rod Woodruff, owner of the Buffalo Chip Reservation, South Dakota, the location of the 2005 Sturgis Bike Rally, to do the first live bike build ever at the Rally.

McCaslin will be heading up a team of creative professionals who will be building the first custom chopper live and in front of all in attendance at the annual Sturgis Rally.

“Woody came up to me at Daytona Beach, Fla. After seeing a couple of my bikes win awards at a couple of bike shows in early March 2005. He asked me to head up this build,” McCaslin said.

The First Edition Buffalo Chip Benefit Bike will be built from scratch in front of a continuous audience beginning at noon on the 6th. The bike will be built in just seven days. It will be awarded to the winner at about mid-night August 13, 2005.

“This is going to be an interactive build, so bring your questions down to Sturgis,” McCaslin said. McCaslin will also be hosting a small auction, as well, with proceeds going to the CCA. “I will be auctioning off a custom set of handlebars that I will make specifically for the winning bidder. Donation items are still coming in, but thus far we have a hand made motorcycle themed quilt, a custom rear fender for a 200 wide tire and a custom 21-inch front fender,” McCaslin said.

Raffle tickets are now on sale for the First Edition Buffalo Chip Benefit Bike. The raffle tickets are available through the Children’s Craniofacial Association. The cost of a ticket is: $5 for one ticket. A $20 purchase of tickets will get you one free ticket, according to Jill Gorecki development director at the CCA, which makes it five tickets for $20; a $100 purchase includes 10 free tickets which means that $100 will yield you 30 tickets and 30 chances at the chopper.

Tickets are available online at www.ccakids.com

The Children''s Craniofacial Association is a national, nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the quality of life for people with facial differences and their families by empowering them and giving the children and their families hop. The CCA envisions a world where people are accepted for who they are, not how they look. Nationally and internationally, CCA addresses the medical, financial, psychosocial, emotional and educational concerns relating to craniofacial conditions.
