SUPERTRAPP RELEASES FIRST 2:1 SYSTEM FOR METRIC CRUISER
16 May 2005 - SuperTrapp Industries, Inc.
SuperTrapp Industries announces the availability of the SuperTrapp 2:1 SuperMegs for the Honda VTX 1800. Tested in dyno shootouts and on the race track, SuperMegs have proven to be the best-performing exhaust for V-Twins, adding up to 17 horsepower over the stock system.
This increase in horsepower is made possible by SuperTrapp’s tunable disc technology, which allows the rider to adjust the power band and sound levels by adding or removing the 4” internal discs. Power gain is also aided by the 2.5” collector that allows for maximum flow for even the largest big bore motors. “There are few performance exhausts that actually make horsepower today,” says Wes Brown of Cycle Rama, AMI Horsepower Shootout winner eight years running. “SuperTrapp is a good-looking pipe, but what people really love is the power. SuperTrapp tunable disc technology makes it easier to find that sweet spot once the motor work is done and also insures that you are not leaving 10 or 15 horsepower under the table.” In addition to power and sound, SuperTrapp 2:1 SuperMegs deliver on styling with triple chrome-plated mild steel, a distinctive polished billet end cap and triple chrome plated heatshields, which feature a unique three-piece design for full coverage of front and rear head pipes and collector. Current applications for the SuperTrapp 2:1 SuperMegs are: Honda VTX 1800 ’02-05 Part No. 828-31800 MSRP Sportster XLH 883/1100/1200 ’04-05 Part No. 828-71200 MSRP $595 Softail/Dyna-Glide FLST/FXST ’90-04 Part No. 828-71451 MSRP $595 Touring FLH/FLT ’85-01 Part No. 828-71453 MSRP $612.09 For more than 30 years, SuperTrapp Industries, Inc. has been a leading manufacturer of comprehensive performance exhaust systems for a variety of motor vehicle applications, including motorcycles, ATV and automotive.
