TRIUMPH RE-SIGNS STUNT LEGEND KEVIN CARMICHAEL
03 May 2005 - Triumph Motorcycles Ltd
Triumph Motorcycles today announced it has re-signed stunt rider Kevin Carmichael for the 3rd year running.
Kevin will be running two of the all-new 2005 Speed Triples, a Daytona 955, a Speed Four and a Bonneville at various shows across Europe throughout the year. Kevin said: “I love the new bikes; the new, shorter Speed Triple really suits my trademark vertical wheelie! With the new engine, the extra power makes a real difference too.” Kevin is currently in training with the new bikes, the first show with the new Speed Triple was at the end of February in France. Kevin Carmichael is well known for the unique, dynamic and fascinating riding style that he invented and perfected – many of the tricks performed by other world champion stunt riders, have been either copied or inspired by Kevin’s own routines. Kevin was the first person to perform a wheelie on a superbike without a front wheel or forks. Ross Clifford, Product Development Manager at Triumph, commented: “Kevin has been a pioneer of stunt riding for years and is one of the best stunt riders in the world. Triumph and Kevin have a long-standing relationship and we’re delighted to be continuing the relationship into 2005.”
