RUGBY LEAGUE STARS SHOW SUPPORT TO BENNETTS BRITISH SUPERBIKE ROUND AT OULTON PARK

St Helens rugby league stars, Paul Sculthorpe and Sean Long, have shown their support ahead of the Bennetts British Superbike Championship at Oulton Park which takes place on Monday (2nd May).

Saints skipper Sculthorpe and Great Britain team mate Long, both keen motorcycling fans and superbike owners themselves, went along to their local Oulton Park track ahead of the fourth round of the Bennetts British Superbike Championship this Bank Holiday weekend.

Bennetts, the official title sponsors of the Bennetts British Superbike Championship and the UK''s number one for motorcycle insurance, invited Paul and Sean along to the track to have a first hand look at what is in store for the leading riders at Oulton Park.

Paul Sculthorpe said: “It’s great to come to Oulton to see what the Bennetts British Superbike Championship is all about. I went to one of the rounds last season and had a great day, and would encourage anyone thinking of coming along to make the effort. When you see what the riders put themselves through on a race day then you can have nothing but respect for them.”

Sean Long added: “We’ll both be coming back this weekend to see the action and it promises to be a great spectacle for motorcycling and also for the North West. It’s good to support sporting events in the area although I don’t think you’ll be seeing Paul or I going round the track at 170 mph quite yet!”
