WOLVERHAMPTON SPEEDWAY
03 April 2005 - British Speedway Promoters Association

WOLVERHAMPTON aim to take out their frustration on a revamped Ipswich side in the first leg of their Knockout Cup clash at Monmore on Monday.

Peter Adams'' men have yet to win any of their opening three Elite League meetings after missing out by just six-points at Swindon. Now they have the chance to make progress in the cup as they aim for a healthy lead to take to Suffolk for the return on Thursday. Skipper Steve Johnston said: ''I would describe the last week as frustrating for the boys, there has been no lack of effort but we just haven''t got there with the results. ''Hopefully we can put that right against Ipswich and with the help of our fans I''m sure we can build up the lead we need for the return on Thursday.''

WOLVES: Mikael Max, Ronnie Correy, Freddie Lindgren, Steve Johnston, David Howe, Magnus Karlsson, Krzysztof Pecyna.

IPSWICH: Hans Andersen, Karol Baran, Kim Janosson, Chris Louis, Pepe Protasiewicz, Daniel King, Robert Miskowiak.
