BELLE VUE boss Ian Thomas is to switch his riding order for Monday’s clash with reigning champions Poole at Kirky Lane.

Simon Stead will move up to partner Joe Screen and Jason Lyons will race alongside Kenneth Bjerre. Thomas said: “I don’t like changing a winning team but this could make us even stronger. And if it doesn’t work out, I can soon change it back again.”

KING’S LYNN have been rocked by a bad injury to Australian sensation Troy Batchelor. The Norfolk Arena newboy suffered a badly shattered arm in the win over Exeter in mid-week. Stars boss Rob Lyon said: “I can''t help but feel really saddened about what''s happened to Troy, the lad had been riding really well and he was going to be our trump card at the Isle of Wight on Tuesday.”

CRADLEY Heath legend Ivor Brown has died at his Leicestershire home after a short illness. Brown was the club’s top rider during the bulk of his career at the former Dudley Wood track in the 60’s and also had spells at Birmingham and Great Yarmouth. His funeral will take place on Wednesday April 6 at St Marys Church, Far Street, Wymeswold, Leicestershire at 2pm when a big turnout is expected.
