30 March 2005 - British Speedway Promoters Association
TIGERS aim to boost their hopes of Premier Trophy progress when they face Edinburgh Monarchs at Owlerton on Thursday.
Edinburgh are very much revamped after losing Frede Schott through retirement, Rory Schlein to Coventry and Peter Carr wanted a move closer to his Lancashire base. Tigers boss Reg Wilson is well aware of the fact that his side need some home wins to make up for defeats on the road at Berwick, Newcastle and Stoke. He said: ''We know our home form is crucial and we''ll be looking for a big win tonight to take back up to Edinburgh for the return leg and the aggregate bonus point. ''We all know that Rusty Harrison and Theo Pijper can do well around our place and Ross Brady is a former Sheffield rider, but we don''t know what to expect from the others. ''The lad Daniel Nermark is a classy rider but he''s had his injury problems and we''ll see how he goes as their number one.'' TIGERS: Sean Wilson, Ben Wilson, Richard Hall, Ricky Ashworth, Andre Compton, Paul Cooper, Kyle Legault. EDINBURGH: Daniel Nermark, Theo Pijper, Rusty Harrison, Cameron Woodward, Ross Brady, William Lawson, Robert Ksiezak.
