WOLVERHAMPTON SPEEDWAY
30 March 2005 - British Speedway Promoters Association

STEVE Johnston is relishing an early return to his former club Swindon with Wolverhampton on Thursday.

Johnston, the new Wolves skipper, has settled in well with the Black Country club - after admitting he never wanted to leave the Robins. He said: ''I didn''t want to leave Swindon, I would have been more than happy to go back there, but with the way our sport works there is always rider movement. ''To be fair to them, they told me early on that I would be leaving and I was able to do a deal with Wolverhampton - and I couldn''t be happier. ''I''m enjoying riding for Wolves, but we need to start winning after our easter weekend defeats.''

SWINDON: Leigh Adams, Sebastian Alden, Jonas Davidsson, Charlie Gjedde, Lee Richardson, Sebastian Tressarieau, Oliver Allen.

WOLVERHAMPTON: Mikael Max, Ronnie Correy, Freddie Lindgren, Steve Johnston, David Howe, Magnus Karlsson, Krzysztof Pecyna.
