WONDERS NAMES FEDERAL COMPANIES/ALLIED TO TRANSPORT ''ART OF THE MOTORCYCLE'' EXHIBIT Wonders, the Memphis International Cultural Series that has been presenting internationally renowned exhibitions since 1987 -- including Ramesses the Great, Napoleon, Titanic and the Imperial Tombs of China -- has again chosen Allied Special Products and the Federal Companies to transport its newest exhibition, The Art of the Motorcycle. Organized and presented in association with the Salomon R. Guggenheim Museum, the exhibition explores the motorcycle as cultural icon, design object, and technical achievement. The touring exhibition will debut at the Pyramid in Memphis on April 22 and will feature nearly 100 of the most important landmark motorcycles of the last 125 years. Allied and Federal will be coordinating logistics to ensure all of the motorcycles, which are being borrowed from collectors across the US and Canada, receive expert handling and transport. Allied and Federal has a great track record with both the Wonders organization and the Guggenheim Foundation and served as official carrier for the original Art of the Motorcycle tour back in 1998. That exhibition broke all attendance records at the Guggenheim Museum in New York and subsequently traveled to Chicago, Las Vegas and Bilbau, Spain. In all, the original 1998 exhibit logged 2.2 million visitors. Many of the donors from the original exhibition are again loaning bikes for the new Wonders exhibition and are very pleased to hear that Allied and Federal will again be the official carrier. Federal Companies, a 92 year old, fourth generation company headquartered in East Peoria, Illinois, provides services in household moving and relocation, warehousing and distribution, retail delivery and freight forwarding, and vital records storage and the transportation of motorcycles for leisure or road rallies.
