NEW BREMBO RACING RADIAL CALIPER
23 March 2005 - Grand Prix Racewear
After more than a years extensive testing both in their amazing Research and Development laboratory in Bergamo Italy as well as on track with top motorcycle manufacturer race teams, Brembo have now released their new radial racing brake caliper.
Frequently seen on the works supermoto’s of Aprilia, Husqvarna and KTM, this caliper is now available as a direct replacement for all Japanese bikes that come with radial calipers fitted as standard. The first Brembo radial caliper of it’s kind is composed of a slimline 2 piece body machined from solid aluminium with 4 titanium pistons, 32mm leading and 36mm trailing, as well as titanium quick release pad pin and titanium bolts. Internally, as with all Brembo racing components, this caliper uses a specially formulated piston coating and piston seal material extensively researched by Brembo to give the absolute maximum consistency and braking performance at the extreme temperatures that are reached during braking. As usual the caliper is finished in true Brembo style with excellent machining quality and caliper design. This caliper now gives you the chance to have undoubtedly the best braking system in the world and directly replace the standard road radial caliper on your Yamaha R1, Honda CBR600RR/1000RR, Suzuki GSXR, Kawasaki ZX6/ZX10 or Supermoto. A spacer kit is required when replacing your standard caliper. Please check our Brembo catalogue on page 4 for details of available spacer kits. This caliper will fit directly to any Japanese bike that has radial calipers fitted as standard. Caliper does not include brake pads. Brembo pads for this caliper are the full SBK Z04 race material which have highest friction and at least 4 times the pad life of any pad! Brake pads per caliper set are £108.42
