09 March 2005 - British Speedway Promoters Association
SHEFFIELD''S Yorkshire Cup tie with Hull is nicely poised after a 53-39 defeat in the first leg at Craven Park.
The sides meet again at Owlerton Stadium next Thursday, Macrh 17, when the home side will need to be firing on all cylinders. Skipper Sean Wilson continued his comeback from a serious neck injury with an encouraging display, including a win in Heat 13, and rookie reserves Paul Cooper and Kyle Legault also gave cause for optimism. Sheffield''s 5-1 with Wilson and Andre Compton in that Heat 13 brought them to within eight-points of the reigning triple champions, but Hull finished strongly in the last two races. HULL: Emil Kramer 15, Garry Stead 12+1, Paul Thorp 9, Craig Branney 7+2, Emiliano Sanchez 6+1, Lee Dicken 2+1, Joel Parsons 2. TIGERS: Andre Compton 10+1, Sean Wilson 8, Ricky Ashworth 7+1, Richard Hall 6+1, Paul Cooper 4+1, Ben Wilson 2+2, Kyle Legault 2.
