SPEEDWAY NEWS AND FIXTURES 9.3.05
09 March 2005 - British Speedway Promoters Association

WORLD champion Jason Crump is desperate for team success with Belle Vue after three years with the club.

He said: ''I like being a part of successful teams and that hasn''t been the case at Belle Vue in recent seasons. ''But this year I think we have the right riders to do the job and the new management have also impressed me in my early dealings with them.''

PETERBOROUGH boss Trevor Swales is looking for back-to-back wins against rivals Ipswich to start the season in style. The sides meet at Foxhall on Thursday with the return at Peterborough''s Showground on Friday. Swales said: ''I''m not looking for anything this year other than wins. I want to win at Ipswich, not just keep the scores close. I don''t like losing and I''m not a good loser!''

WOLVES star David Howe has slammed the critics who believe the Monmore team look weak. Howe is facing up to a big year as he aims to establish himself in the top two of the team - but he faces competition from his colleagues. He said: ''I don''t want to put anyone''s nose out of joint but I don''t think the criticism is justified because we''ve got such a strong middle order.''
