SPEEDWAY NEWS AND FIXTURES 5.3.05
05 March 2005 - British Speedway Promoters Association

OXFORD have confirmed the signings of Californian world champions Greg Hancock and Billy Hamill.

But the terms of their move from parent club Coventry have still to be agreed. Silver Machine boss Nigel Wagstaff said: ''The situation couldn''t go on any longer and I can confirm that no agreement has been reached with Coventry although I sincerely hope that can change for the benefit of all parties.''

SWINDON have named Jonas Davidsson as their last man - and they hope to sign him on a full transfer from Oxford. Davidsson has submitted a transfer request and the clubs are expected to hold talks soon. Robins boss Alun Rossiter said: ''Jonas has made the decision himself and I believe he will come in and do an extremely good job for the team in the coming season.''

WORLD champions Jason Crump and Nicki Pedersen will give King''s Lynn''s season a spectacular start after agreeing to race at the Premier League track. Crump, the current world number one, will face Pedersen in a Stars v Knights team event for the Maurice Littlechild Trophy on Wednesday March 9. Crump said: ''I always enjoy riding at a great track like Lynn and I''m sure Nicki feels the same way.''
