FOR THE FIRST-TIME EVER ESPN360 WILL PROVIDE LIVE STREAMING VIDEO FOOTAGE OF THQ WORLD SUPERCROSS GP/THQ AMA SUPERCROSS FROM ST. LOUIS
03 March 2005 - Clear Channel Entertainment

Clear Channel Entertainment’s Motor Sports division announced today that ESPN360 will deliver live streaming video of this weekend’s THQ World Supercross GP/THQ AMA Supercross Series race from St. Louis’ Edward Jones Dome. This is the first live motorsports event hosted by ESPN360.

Clear Channel Entertainment’s Motor Sports division has agreed to work with ESPN360’s first-ever live streaming video feed. The 125cc and 250cc heat races are live from 7:30-8:10 p.m. (CT); the 125cc and 250cc main events are live from 9:25-10:15 p.m. CT. This one-off broadcast will be a trial run that will give fans an opportunity to follow the world’s fastest growing motorsport live through streaming video.

“For ESPN360, we are excited to have the opportunity to showcase a live, major event in THQ World Supercross GP/THQ AMA Supercross Series,” said Len Mead, director, new media content. “ESPN has had a long, established relationship with supercross, and this is the next step in showing our dedication to the sport. We appreciate the support that Clear Channel Entertainment’s Motor Sports division has given us in our venture with ESPN360.”

ESPN360 is available to any fan whose internet service provider has signed an agreement with ESPN, including Charter High-Speed in St. Louis. All content is customizable and can be watched in a variety of screen sizes ranging from full-screen to a compact mode that can be viewed on a small portion of the user’s screen. ESPN360 provides users with the capability to add and delete videos from their playlists, arrange the order of viewing, and save favorite clips and playlists in My ESPN - the users own channel within the ESPN360 environment.
