NEW Belle Vue owner Tony Mole has submitted a written offer to Eastbourne for the full transfer of Joe Screen.
Screen began his career with the Aces and returned to the club from the South coast outfit during the 2003 season. Co-promoter Ian Thomas said: ''We continue to want our own men in the team whenever possible and we are confident that Joe can do a good job for us.'' RYE House manager John Sampford will tell his riders not to under-estimate visitors King''s Lynn ahead of Saturday''s A10 Trophy clash at Hoddesdon. The home side will be without Tommy Allen, who is set to miss the opening weeks of the season after a practice crash. Sampford said: ''They are a side to be respected with a great spearhead, and I expect a very tough battle.'' NEWPORT promoter Tim Stone feels that his own riders will benefit from racing in a strong line-up at Sunday''s Prince of Wales Trophy. Stone said: ''It''s a great line-up, we need to give our guys a ride but they are in there on merit as well.'' LINE-UP: Craig Watson, Mads Korneliussen, Michael Coles, Neil Collins, Kristian Lund, Tony Atkin, David Howe, Chris Harris, Niels-Kristian Iversen, Magnus Zetterstrom, Mark Lemon, Jan Staechmann. READING have concluded a new sponsorship deal with Fareham-based Ideal Video, who take over from previous backers Euphony Communications. Racer''s Commercial Manager Paul Hunsdon explained that changes in Euphony''s ownership had led to their deal not being extended. Hunsdon said: ''Ideal Video have been an associate sponsor of the club for the past two seasons and I am delighted they have agreed to be our team sponsor in 2005.''
