NEWS & TIPS FOR DAYTONA BEACH BIKE WEEK

A few bikes are starting to show already. This weekend will see motorcyclists from all over the world start to arrive.

Tip: Make sure you try and have your rooms reserved before you get here this year. After three hard hitting hurricanes there are a lot fewer rooms along the beach from Flager all the way South to Fort Lauderdale. Everyone will be able to find rooms but you might have to drive a bit further. The storm damage was milder as you drive inland from the beaches.

There are several new and expanded campgrounds for everything from tent camping to motor home parking and some new inland Motels.

As far as things to see and do, Bike Week gets better, larger, more spread out and for sure more fun each year. In addition to cruising Main and Beach Streets putting your eyeball on all the great bikes (and other things) there is going to be a new Sport Bike show and get together running March 9th - 12th at Ballough Bay. (How big? Don''t know!) Of course there will still be the Drag Races, the Antique Show, the Swap Meets, Vintage Racing, the Short Track Nationals, Custom Bike Shows, continuous Road Races at the track and also the Super Cross. The list goes on and on! It now extends all the way to Orlando.

For those who just like to hang out there is nothing wrong with that either.
