THE fight for the future of Carmarthen Speedway will come to a head on March 24 when the Showground Committee meet to discuss the club''s lease proposal.
The Dragons have been left off the Conference League fixture list, but can compete should they get the go-ahead from the Committee. New owner Laurence Rogers said: ''All we can do is wait and hope. I have been overwhelmed at the support we have received.'' BERWICK have agreed a team sponsorship deal for the 2005 season with Kirkland Carpets, who are based in Cumbria. The company have previously sponsored meetings at Shielfield Park as well as having involvement with Workington in the past. Bandits promoter Peter Waite said: ''This is the final part to our jigsaw and we thank them wholeheartedly for their very generous support.''
