GREAT Britain Under-21 manager Peter Oakes has announced his team to face Scotland at Armadale on March 11.

Workington''s James Wright comes into the line-up for a meeting which was twice washed out at the end of last season. GB U21s: James Wright (Workington), Ben Wilson (Sheffield), Benji Compton (Scunthorpe), Jamie Robertson (Newcastle), Karl Mason (Newport), Jamie Courtney (Oxford), John Branney.

SCUNTHORPE have signed the experienced Wayne Carter as rider-coach for their first season in the Conference League. The former Wolverhampton rider completes a top five which also includes Danny Norton, David Speight, Benji Compton and Richie Dennis. Scorpions promoter Rob Godfrey said: ''We will be tracking a side of young riders and so bringing in Wayne will make us a better team without doubt.''
