22 February 2005 - British Speedway Promoters Association

SWEDISH world cup winner Peter Karlsson is the final name to be added to Belle Vue’s Peter Craven Memorial meeting on March 7.

Karlsson, who has joined Peterborough, had a brief spell with the Aces and is always a popular visitor to Kirkmanshulme Lane. Aces boss Ian Thomas said: “Karlsson is always very competitive and there some good racers amongst the other boys like Carl Stonehewer and David Norris.”

BERWICK have finally managed to secure medical cover to enable them to start the season as planned on March 5. Teesside Voluntary Ambulance Service have come to the rescue until the club get their own permanent vehicle. Bandits boss Peter Waite said: “It is my intention to make sure that this club can never be placed in this terrible situation again. I am indebted to the Teesside Voluntary Ambulance Service.”
