EASTBOURNE''S former world champion Nicki Pedersen believes he will be fitter than ever when the tapes go up on the new season.
The Dane has two X-bikes in his workshop which help build upper body strength. He has been working hard after hand surgery. He said: ''Training on the X-bikes has been a lot harder than I expected, but it''s working. I can feel that already.'' CARMARTHEN''S future is still in the balance - with potential new owners still yet to strike a lease deal with the United Counties Showground landlords. The initial offer was rejected by the showground committee and a new proposal has now been submitted with the season fast approaching. Spokesman Laurence Rogers said: ''We seem to be up against it because of the timescale involved but we are trying to sort it out.''
