EVERTS WINS MANTOVA STARCROSS

The opening International of the year was run today in Mantova, Italy and as is always the case in early season races there was some major crashes and surprises.

Everts showed the most consistent results, while Joel Smets came back to finish in the top three on his long awaited return to racing.

Ben Townley lost a chain and retired from the first moto, then crashed in the second moto while chasing Joel Smets. The KTM factory rider failed to enter the third moto after injuring his hand. Steve Ramon finished on his KTM in Moto 2 and 3 on the 5th place.
