BRITISH SPEEDWAY NEWS 13.2.05
13 February 2005 - British Speedway Promoters Association

IPSWICH will reintroduce the revolutionary Air Tek safety fence for their opening meeting of the season with Peterborough.

The Witches dropped the fence last year as they claimed their standard fence was safe enough. Now Ipswich promoter John Louis has said: ''AirTek have made many modifications to their system through the winter which obviously we hope will put right the many problems we experienced at Foxhall last season.''

KENNY Olsson holds a narrow two-point lead over Anthony Barlow at the top of the X-treme ice racing standings in America. The Swede, who was runner-up at Moline, and then second to Nick Fafard at Fort Lauderdale, has 58 points, with Barlow on 56. Gary Phelps, who has lost his place at Weymouth because of the new Conference League gradings, finished third behind Fafard and Olsson at Fort Lauderdale.
