NEW GENERAL MOTORCYCLE MANAGER FOR BMW MOTORRAD GREAT BRITAIN
17 February 2005 - BMW Motorrad GB
Adrian Roderick is the new General Motorcycle Manager of BMW Motorrad Great Britain following Pieter de Waal’s promotion to Executive Vice President, Sales and Marketing in Germany.
Originally from Cardiff, 46-year-old Adrian joins BMW Motorrad Great Britain with a history of company experience. Having graduated from Aberystwyth University with a degree in geology, Adrian left his home country of Wales to work for the Ford Motor Company as a graduate trainee in sales and marketing before joining the BMW group in 1986. Adrian worked in a number of roles for BMW, including Regional Car Sales Manager, before moving to the Human Resources department where he had a direct involvement in the integration – and subsequent disintegration – of the Rover Group project. Adrian takes on the role of General Motorcycle Manager for BMW Motorrad Great Britain after four years as Head of Human Resources and is looking forward to his new responsibilities. “I’ve been an avid motorcyclist for more years than I care to remember and have wanted to get back to the commercial side of business for quite a while now.” he said. “The opportunity I now have to combine both of these passions in my new position is just heaven-sent. Having such a great team of people to work with is sure to make my job a lot easier, and I’m very excited about the forthcoming year – and beyond – for BMW Motorrad Great Britain.” Pieter de Waal now resides in Germany after a successful year as General Motorcycle Manager of BMW Motorrad Great Britain. His new role in Munich will see him head the Sales and Marketing Department for BMW Motorrad worldwide.
