With over 6000 square metres of indoor exhibition space the Royal Welsh Showground at Builth Wells is the ideal venue to show off the diversity of motorcycling in 2004 and with a total of £5000 in prize money up for grabs this years show is expected to attract a record breaking number of exhibitors.
Organiser Steve Bennett said '' We always intended re-introducing large cash prizes. We are very grateful to those that have supported us over the last few years by exhibiting some absolutely stunning machinery but there''s always room for more and this year with the help of our sponsors we''re going to make it happen'' There are a total of 24 categories, all entries will be judged and trophies will be awarded in all categories with cash prizes for all the major categories. Dealers and bike shops will also be in attendance displaying the cutting edge of modern motorcycles to compliment the show. Each bike accepted for entry earns the exhibitor a free exhibitor''s T shirt and two free tickets to enjoy three nights of live entertainment & camping and three days of arena entertainment at what is a superb venue located in some of the best biking countryside anywhere. Spread over 5 halls the show will contain a full programme of entertainment from stunt shows to children''s entertainers on Saturday, Sunday and Monday for day visitors and a top line up of bands will be taking part in the evening entertainment on Friday, Saturday, Sunday nights for the campers. The blues bar, which offers more laid back entertainment as an alternative to visiting the village pubs will remain open throughout the main stage entertainment on Friday & Saturday nights. The Royal Welsh Showground is a magnet for motorcyclists during the weekend of the show, set in the beautiful Wye Valley the roads seem built for bikes and for many the ride alone is worth the trip. We shall be advertising heavily in the motorcycle press, Welsh newspapers and on local radio. Last year''s show was featured in news articles on the Friday on both BBC and HTV and featured in a Men & Motors programme - something we will endeavour to repeat. Competitions are also scheduled in newspapers, local radio and magazines. Trade stand prices remain as low as possible at £6.00 psm for outdoor space and £10 psm for indoor space.
