NEW SHOWCASE SUBARU DEALER WINS BIKERS’ APPROVAL
10 February 2005 - Subaru
A new showcase Subaru dealer – St Leger of Doncaster – has already won approval from prestige motorcycle enthusiasts.
The new premises represents a £2m investment, being South Yorkshire’s only authorised Harley-Davidson dealership, originally established two years ago at another location. And Dealer Principal, John Cooke, believes there is a synergy between the two high-image brands. “Both Subaru and Harley-Davidson have a strong following among people who appreciate fine engineering and we expect some cross-over business as a result,” he said. St Leger’s new car and bike showrooms on the First Point Business Park, Woodford Way, Balby, Doncaster are separated by a café. The recent official opening attracted several hundred existing Harley-Davidson owners plus potential new Subaru customers. Speaking after the ceremony, Subaru National Franchise Development Manager, Terry Leach, said: “We are delighted to be able to fill this key open point with such a respected and professional organisation. Subaru looks forward to growing its network from 87 today to around 120 dealers by the end of the year.”
