SWINDON boss Alun Rossiter has dropped a big hint that the club could be set for a dramatic change in team plans.
Rossiter has revealed that the club are to make an announcement about their 2005 line-up on Tuesday. He said: “I’m not prepared to go into any detail at this stage but I can confirm that we will be issuing a full statement regarding a team matter for the forthcoming season.” SOMERSET’S commercial manager has ended his search for a new team sponsor – by doing it himself! Mike Manning, a loyal supporter of the club, will back the Rebels through his successful family run Hi-fi business. He said: “Having been a supporter of the Rebels since their opening in 2000, my wife Denise and I are proud to be able to sponsor the team in the forthcoming season.” CARMARTHEN are facing up to make-or-break talks with their stadium landlords. The Dragons have just over a week to declare their membership of the 2005 Conference League with speculation over new ownership. Current boss Nigel Meakins said: “Negotiations are at a very advanced stage and the future of the Carmarthen Dragons could be decided this week. I can confirm that a meeting is planned between an interested party and the Showground.”
