DATES and venues have now been confirmed for British Speedway''s major events in the forthcoming season.

Once again fans can look ahead to a feast of action at Elite, Premier and Conference League level throughout the year. The highlight, as always, is the British Grand Prix at the magnificent Millennium Stadium in Cardiff on June 11. Oxford will once again stage the Championship of Great Britain Final after successfully hosting the prestigious event last summer. The Elite League Riders'' Championship moves to Swindon on August 21 and anybody with readmission tickets from the restaging of the event at Poole last year will be allowed a £3 discount at this year''s event - or the Elite League Pairs or Championship of Great Britain Final. Rye House retain the British Under-21 Final on April 30 and Britain''s newest track, Scunthorpe, will stage one of the qualifying rounds.

BRITISH UNDER-21 QUALIFYING ROUNDS: Weymouth - Monday March 28, Mildenhall - Sunday April 3, Scunthorpe - Sunday April 10.

ELITE LEAGUE BEST PAIRS: Peterborough - Sunday March 27 at 7pm.

BRITISH U-21 FINAL: Rye House - Saturday April 30.

CHAMPIONSHIP OF GREAT BRITAIN QUALIFYING ROUND: Newcastle - Sunday May 5.

WORLD UNDER-21 QUALIFYING ROUND: Belle Vue - Sunday May 22.

FIM GRAND PRIX OF GREAT BRITAIN: Cardiff - Saturday June 11.

PREMIER LEAGUE BEST PAIRS: Glasgow - Sunday June 26.

CHAMPIONSHIP OF GREAT BRITAIN FINAL: Oxford - Sunday July 10.

CHAMPIONS CHASE: King''s Lynn - Wednesday July 27.

PREMIER LEAGUE FOURS: Workington - Saturday August 20.

ELITE LEAGUE RIDERS'' CHAMPIONSHIP: Swindon - Sunday August 21 at 7pm.

PREMIER LEAGUE RIDERS'' CHAMPIONSHIP: Sheffield - Sunday September 18.
