PETERBOROUGH will stage the prestigious Elite League Best Pairs event at the Showground on Easter Sunday, March 27.

Defending Champions Swindon will be represented by Leigh Adams and former Panther Lee Richardson amongst an all-star line-up. Peterborough have also announced that club administrator Neil Watson has joined Mick Horton as a co-promoter of the Alwalton outfit.

TRAVIS McGowan will remain with Oxford for a third season after concluding a deal for 2005 with Silver Machine boss Nigel Wagstaff. The Australian previously rode for Wagstaff at King''s Lynn, and was always expected to remain at Cowley having become a popular member of the team. Wagstaff said: ''It''s a big season for Travis, we have a good working relationship and I''m sure he can do the job.''
