SPEEDWAY NEWS - 30.1.05
30 January 2005 - British Speedway Promoters Association

OXFORD promoter Nigel Wagstaff is urging fans to show their backing for the club on their new racenight.

The Silver Machine will now race home meetings on Thursdays after losing their traditional Friday racenight to greyhound racing at the plush Cowley venue. Wagstaff said: “I can only appeal to everyone to support the team and the club to ensure that we have a future to work for.”

WOLVERHAMPTON boss Peter Adams has revealed how Swedish talent Freddie Lindgren turned his back on other offers to stay at Monmore. Lindgren will be back for his second full season in the Elite League after snubbing interest from rival clubs. Adams said: ''I think he perhaps began to realise that the grass isn''t as green on the other side as some people were leading him to believe.”
