FPR AIM TO RAISE MONEY FOR TSUNAMI FUND
02 February 2005 - Foggy PETRONAS Racing

Foggy PETRONAS Racing memorabilia has gone under the hammer to raise money for the Tsunami Appeal Fund.

The World Superbike team, owned by four-times World Superbike champion Carl Fogarty, has added three unique items to their FPR Auction website area in order to generate funds exclusively for the disaster appeal fund.

Starting the bidding with a £50 reserve is an original shirt (14.5 inch collar) designed and hand-painted by Carl''s wife Michaela Fogarty, Sam Corser (wife of former FPR rider Troy Corser), and Jo Haydon (wife of another former FPR man James Haydon). It was specially created for the team''s end of 2003 season fancy dress party at Magny-Cours.

The shirt carries the signatures of many of the 2003 riders, including world champion Neil Hodgson, Troy Corser, Chris Walker, James Haydon, and James Toseland.

The second item is the pair Spidi gloves that Chris Walker wore at the opening round of the season when he achieved the first ever podium finish on the FP1. Their reserve price is £30.

The Alpinestars boots worn by Troy Corser when he took the second step on the rostrum at Misano in 2004 are the final item, with a reserve of £40.

To take part in the bidding forthese items for this global cause, visit the FPR Auction within the FPR Shop on the www.foggyPETRONASracing.com website.
