1996 World Champion Billy Hamill will be back in the Elite League this season after agreeing to join Oxford.
Silver Machine promoter Nigel Wagstaff announced the signing at a packed fans'' forum at Cowley on Thursday evening. Wagstaff said: ''It is important not only to get the results but also to entertain and that is one thing that is guaranteed with Billy in the team.'' NEWCASTLE have completed their line-up by signing Australian rider Christian Henry on loan from Edinburgh. Henry sat out the Premier League season last year after a troubled 2003, but has now agreed to make his UK comeback. Diamonds promoter George English said: ''I can only praise Christian''s speed and co-operation with this agreement. He is a rider who is still full of potential.'' SHEFFIELD skipper Sean Wilson has given the thumbs-up to the new Scunthorpe track which will stage Conference League racing this year. Wilson recently practised at the Normanby Road venue as he prepares to make his racing comeback after serious injury last season. Wilson said: ''I went to Scunthorpe for the first time recently and I have to say what a fabulous set-up they have there.''
