TOMAHAWK TYRES RE-LOCATE TO £1MILLION FACTORY

Tomahawk, the UK’s pioneering manufacturer of retread radial motorcycle tyres, have relocated to a new 37,000 square foot factory at Rhayader in Mid Wales, which has been equipped with the latest tyre production equipment, at a cost of £1 million.

The move is the result of a deal with motorsport tyre manufacturer MaxSport, a leading brand in competition tyres since the 1980’s, whose FIA approved tyres are the choice of many top rally teams.

As a result Tomahawk tyres will be re-branded Tomahawk-MaxSport. Production of radial tyres in all popular sizes has recommenced, following testing to the EC Regulation 75 for motorcycle tyres. Quality is further assured as the factory is accredited to ISO9001:2000, which means that every tyre can be traced from when it entered the premises as a carcass to the time it left as a new re-treaded tyre.

Three compounds are available; Road, for every day use and good rates of wear, Sport, for spirited riding on road or track and Sprint, which is ideally suited to track days.

Tomahawk tyres have steadily built a reputation for quality and value – they are the tyres of choice for record-breaking stunt man Dave Coates (riding backwards at 151.7 mph) and the Jimmy Fireblade Bandit Wheelie School.
