HODGSON PROVIDES HOLLYWOOD TURN FOR BENNETTS
27 January 2005 - Bennetts
American AMA Superbike bound Neil Hodgson has been preparing for his move stateside by providing a Hollywood turn for Bennetts in their latest television credits.
The 2003 World Superbike Champion takes centre stage for personal sponsor Bennetts in its latest television credits called ‘In the Blood’. The credits take the audience on a high-octane computer generated adventure through the body. Two bikers race their way through veins, past the heart and through the brain before revealing Hodgson as the host of the race. The Burnley-born rider had to undertake a day of filming for the credits, which are due to be aired on Sky Sports, Granada Men and Motors and Motors TV from late January. “It was a great experience to be in the middle of all this film star style madness but to be honest I don’t think there’s any danger of me switching careers,” said Hodgson. “It’s always great fun to don my acting hat for Bennetts,” he continued. “The final product looks fantastic and really draws you into the action but I’m under no illusion where my talents lie. I’ll get on with my riding and I think I’ll leave acting to the professionals.” Matthew Gledhill, Bennetts’ Managing Director, added: “Neil’s latest credits for Bennetts portrays the passion biker’s have for their sport and how that passion really is in their blood. Bennetts also share in this passion and I’m sure no true biker will fail to be wowed by the action.” Hodgson has begun testing for the Ducati Austin team at Daytona Speedway as he launches his assault on the American Superbike competition. The season gets underway at Daytona on 12 March 2005.
