BMF - CHANGING PLACES
05 May 2004 - BMF

The British Motorcyclists Federation, Britain’s largest rider’s rights organisation and the biggest in Europe, is moving in to new offices this weekend, but will be open for business as usual on Monday 10th May.

The new two-story office block of 3,500 sq ft is located on a new business park at Enderby, Leicestershire, just 2 miles SW of junction 21 of the M1 and only a short distance from the BMF’s rented offices in Leicester, where the BMF has been based since moving from New Malden in December 2000.

Investing over £500,000 in the move to the brick-built detached building, the BMF say it will provide ample office space for the 15 HQ staff and allow for further expansion. The building has been equipped to a high standard with new furnishings, communications and connectivity throughout and there is also a specially equipped meeting room, storage facilities and secure motorcycle parking as well as adequate car parking space.

Jack Wiley House, as the new office will be known, is named after one of the founders of the BMF, and will house all of the BMF’s day-to-day operations, including those for events and the BMF Foundation Charity. A formal opening ceremony will be carried out sometime in July.

Commenting on the move, Chief Executive Simon Wilkinson said:
“This is an exciting and historic time for the BMF. While investing in property is not our main business, our New Malden offices showed us the worth of buying our own property and now we have found the right building, it was time to invest again. We have a terrific team working in Leicester and the new offices will give us in an excellent base to develop our services and keep us as the organisation for today’s rider”.

The new address is:
