MASTERPIECE IN THE MAKING - HAVE YOU CREATED A WORK OF ART?
26 January 2005 - Harley-Davidson UK

Harley-Davidson UK is on the lookout for the best that owners of the iconic motorcycle have to offer in customisation – but this time the playing field is much bigger.

This year entrants battle to win a brand new VRSCA V-Rod, as well as tickets to the final of the 2005 NHRA drag race championships in California.

The Best Harley-Davidson competition kicks off now for 2005, and is searching for the ultimate examples of all Harley-Davidson models; Sportsters, Dynas, Softails, Touring and VRSC V-Rod.

The winners of each category of the competition will be flying off to the US in November 2005, courtesy of Harley-Davidson UK, for the finals of the NHRA championship – watching Andrew Hines and the Harley-Davidson Vance & Hines V-Rod defend their title for the top honours in drag racing.

The overall winner of the competition will not only take home the coveted title of the UK’s Best Harley-Davidson motorcycle, but will also win themselves Harley-Davidson’s multiple award-winning ‘performance cruiser’ – a VRSCA V-Rod.

Setting a new benchmark for custom cruiser style and performance in 2002, the V-Rod has consistently been critically acclaimed across the world for its innovative design, engineering and 115 brake-horsepower Revolution V-twin engine.

With first round judging being held at dealerships across the UK in April 2005, entrants have plenty of time to get their pride and joy into ultimate condition before putting it in front of the judges for inspection.

Anyone wishing to enter their Harley-Davidson motorcycle into the ‘Have you created a work of art?’ competition should contact their local dealership for details. All entries must be received by 15 March 2005.
