NEW PRODUCTS FROM MICRON FOR 2005 HONDA CBR 600RR
25 January 2005 - Micron Performance Exhausts
Micron is quick off the starting block with development of three new products lines for the 2005 Honda CBR 600RR, from a road legal slip on can to a full race system.
Top of the range is a Micron Serpent Hydratech race system with the ultralite full titanium Zeta race can – the only silencer on the market weighing less than 1kg. Micron’s Serpent Hydratech race systems is the only aftermarket pipework available which is fully hydroformed the whole length of the pipes and has been paramount in helping many top race teams achieve success on the track. It is the ideal choice for serious racers who want the ultimate in mid range and top end power with a considerable weight saving. Made from 304 stainless steel – and blown to a very thin wall the unique pipework is highly durable with a retail price of £499.99 inc. vat. The Ultralite All Titanium Zeta silencer to fit the pipework retails for £359.99 Inc vat. Micron’s range of slip on Beta race silencers including connecting pipe has been developed to fit the original pipework perfectly, giving a substantial power increase and weight advantage over standard. Again highly durable in a choice of Stainless steel or Titanium finish with Micron’s single point assembly system for easy maintenance. Retail prices start from £199.99 Inc vat. Also available is the Micron Delta+ Fully Road legal Underseat silencer, again with connecting pipe to fit directly on to the original pipework. This stylish Tri oval shaped silencer with twin inserts is fully road legal meeting all ECE worldwide noise approval. Retail price is £314.99 Inc vat. So how did we do it so fast?? Literally two days after the bikes were in the shops Micron had the product developed, made and on display at the UK trade show. The development process used by Micron incorporates digitization of the physical parameters of the bike to ensure a perfect fit, and the use of Optimum Power software to maximize gas flow and power gains. This ensures accuracy and allows us to work on the bike long before they are released for sale.
