KELSO BIKEFEST TAKES OFF! - SUNDAY 18TH JULY, SPRINGWOOD PARK KELSO
09 June 2004 - BMF

Whether it’s a biking holiday people are after, or just an excuse to jump on the bike and escape for a few days, border country and the BMF’s 18th July Kelso Bikefest is a good place to start, taking off in more ways than one with an air display!

Held in Kelso’s Springwood Park on the banks of the river Tweed, BMF Bikefest is in fantastic biking country and those making a weekend of it get live bands and evening entertainment on Friday and Saturday too, making it an ideal base for a touring holiday. Not only that, but guided ride-outs have been arranged for the Saturday, more details on the day.

This year several new attractions have been lined up for this increasingly popular show with the locally based ‘VT10 Company’ putting on an air display with amongst many set pieces, high speed barrel rolls and heart-stopping stalls.

Not to be outdone, more earthly stuntman, trials ace Jason Finn will be performing his own unique bit of showmanship with tricks his Montessa was never designed to do and will also join up with friend and recuperating world record holder, Eddie Kidd, for a few tricks, but this time on a quad.

More action will follow when another new attraction, the UK FMX motorcycle display team take to the arena to run through a highly specialised display of precision riding.

Away for the arena there will be a Custom and Classic Show that will be well worth a visit and plenty of trade and club stands plus side-shows including for the kids, quad bikes and a bouncy castle.

Closing date for pre-book tickets is Friday 4th July.
