SWINDON have named former Exeter man Michael Coles in their Elite League squad for the new season.
Coles will be on stand-by as the club''s number eight in the event of injuries and will ride full-time for Premier League Newport. Robins boss Alun Rossiter said: ''Michael is a good rider and his experience will undoubtedly stand us in good stead when we need to bring him into the side.'' BERWICK have completed the signing of Polish newcomer Piotr Dym. Dym rides for Ostrow in his home country and arrives in the borders with glowing references. Bandits boss Peter Waite said: ''Piotr is a fine rider and a great find for our club. I believe we have another excellent rider ready to rip up the British Premier League, just as Adam Pietraszko did for us last season.'' WORKINGTON skipper Carl Stonehewer is looking for a new main sponsor after Thomas Armstrong confirmed they would not be renewing their backing. Stonehewer said: ''I had an indication soon after the end of last season so it hasn''t come as a complete shock. ''This year is big for me with the testimonial and there will be a number of events, including a big meeting at Derwent Park.''
