H-C TRAVEL FIRST MOTORCYCLE TOUR OPERATOR TO OBTAIN ATOL LICENSE
04 January 2005 - H-C Travel Ltd

H-C Travel, the UK’s leading motorcycle tour and rental operator, has become the first motorcycle tour operator to obtain a Civil Aviation Authority ‘mini’ ATOL license, number T7002.

Since announcing a tightening of travel regulations in late 2003, a part of the UK government’s efforts to increase consumer protection for travellers and holidaymakers with the advent of internet sales and splitting packages, it has become a requirement for all tour and rental companies that also offer flights to have an ATOL license. It is now illegal for any tour operator or hire company to sell flights and any other travel element in the UK if they do not have an ATOL license.

Director David Grist says

“We are delighted to have been granted an ATOL license by the CAA, particularly as it coincides with our 10th anniversary. It demonstrates again our desire to provide an unrivalled service to our customers, and to be just what we claim, ‘the UK’s leading motorcycle tour operator’. It also reinforces the 100% consumer protection we have offered, and continue to offer, as a member of the Travel Trust Association.

We have always believed it essential to offer our customers this unbeatable level of financial security and a comprehensive service that includes flights, travel insurance, accommodation and other extras – after all, they expect guarantees and a comprehensive service when buying a motorcycle, and should accept nothing less when taking a holiday.

Our message is simple: If flights are a necessary part of your motorcycle holiday then only H-C Travel offers the level of service and financial security you are entitled to. Or as the CAA put it: If it doesn’t have an ATOL, don’t book at all!”
