SPEEDWAY NEWS - 29.12.04
29 December 2004 - British Speedway Promoters Association

EASTBOURNE boss Jon Cook is backing Dean Barker to dramatically improve his scores on his return to the club next season.

Barker, an Arlington track specialist, struggled for consistency at Arena Essex but he could prove a key signing for the Eagles. Cook said: ''He will start in a second string role but I fully expect him to be putting pressure on the top three in our team.''

ROSS Brady will ride for his local track Edinburgh in next season''s Premier League. The move means a return to Armadale after he spent two seasons with the Monarchs in 1999 and 2000 before moving to Glasgow and then Hull. Brady said: ''I''m pleased to be fixed up after missing out at Hull for next season and I''m looking forward to doing well with Edinburgh, it''s an exciting move.''
