27 December 2004 - British Speedway Promoters Association

SWINDON have finally confirmed the capture of Great Britain ace Lee Richardson - and the deal will be a full transfer from his parent club Coventry.

The clubs are holding talks to try and agree a fee after Richardson handed in a transfer request. Robins boss Alun Rossiter said: ''I can confirm that we are in talks and I sincerely hope a suitable figure can be agreed for both clubs.''

WORKINGTON have signed Shaun Tacey as they continue to rebuild their squad. Boss Graham Drury swooped for the rider who spent last season with King''s Lynn and many felt he would return to Norfolk. Drury said: ''This is a very good move for Workington Speedway, it only took a matter of minutes for a deal to be agreed with Shaun and he is very keen to do well for us.''
