HIGHEST SPECIFIC POWER OUTPUT EVER!
23 December 2004 - Maxsym Engine Technology Ltd
The GP500 already generates a greater power density than any previous 500cc 4-stroke parallel twin - and this is after only limited testing! Early development has produced excellent results; progress is rapidly being made towards our initial power target of 90bhp with a wide spread of torque being generated across the rev range.
Maxsym has now run two engines (up to 11,000rpm) with a number of strip & rebuilds completed on each. After some early issues with oil scavenging, all systems are now performing well and - since the first hours in an engine''s development life are always the hardest - this bodes very well for longer term durability. And then there''s the exhaust note ............... awesome! Autosport International Show The Autosport International show at the NEC in Birmingham, UK is fast approaching. Attendees will have an opportunity to see not only complete engines, but also three vehicle installations (prepared by three of the UK''s leading chassis manufacturers) to demonstrate the compact package of the GP engines:- A Supermoto prepared by Harris Performance Products Ltd for Steve Woodhouse of the WIRE Supermoto team; a Superkart prepared by Zip Kart; and an F2 sidecar prepared by MR Equipe. Come and place your order - Hall 20 Stand E58. Special Show Offer - save £800! As part of our launch programme, Maxsym are offering a 10% discount from the retail pricelist for any orders placed either at the Autosport International show or prior to 31st January [This will not be extended]. These orders will secure an end of March delivery date. For a ready-to-race engine complete with 6-speed transmission & dry clutch, engine management system and butterfly throttles this equates to a saving of £800 - that''s a lot of entry fees! Huge interest Maxsym are delighted to report continued massive interest in the engine programme. In the New Year they will be introducing a Request for Quotation feature so that web visitors can enter the required specification for their engine and receive a firm quotation via e-mail. Call for US dealers & importer Guy Heathcote will be visiting the Dealernews International Powersports Dealer Expo in February. If you are interested in becoming the US importer or a dealer for the engines, please contact us now to arrange a meeting in Indianapolis.
