BENNETTS UNVEILS SPONSORSHIP SUPPORT TO MOTORCYCLING
11 June 2004 - Bennetts
Bennetts, one of the UK’s major players specialising in motorcycle insurance, has demonstrated its commitment and support to the motorcycling industry by announcing several high profile sponsorship deals.
Bennetts will be title sponsors of the British Superbike Round at Mallory Park on Sunday 18 July, and will be creating a tactical maximisation campaign to enhance the sponsorship alongside extensive visual branding over the race weekend. The sponsorship sees Bennetts continue their on-going relationship with the Mallory Park venue, which has seen the company hold a variety of events, including track days, there in the past. Bennetts has been associated with the IOM TT for several years and to strengthen its existing relationship, has stepped up its branding activity for 2004 through increased banner advertising and its relationship with local radio station, Manx FM. The company has also agreed a sponsorship deal with Sky Sports, which includes sponsorship of a number of Sky’s new flagship motorcycling programmes. These include Bikesport UK – the first ever one-hour weekly bike magazine programme on British TV featuring coverage and commentary on a variety of biking events, and Moto+, an international motorbike magazine programme, which includes behind the scenes features, reports and profiles, providing Bennetts with an estimated reach level of 1.65 million viewers for both programmes. Matthew Gledhill, Director of Bennetts, said: “Bennetts are delighted to announce these sponsorship deals and it firmly establishes Bennetts as a supporter of motorcycling in the UK. As we have proved with our sponsorship of World Superbike Champion, Neil Hodgson, we are committed to investing time and energy alongside our financial investment to maximise our sponsorships and provide benefit to the whole industry.”
